This stitch did not languish long unframed. I really like the minute beads along the edges of the frame.
Let's look at some other 'finishes' with feathers.
I've heard the high bright "peep" call of the Hairy Woodpeckers and seen them in the trees.
In the trees, but not at my feeders.
The Northern Flickers have been hanging out on snags. I love all the pits and holes - I expect with a few more 'thump thump thumps' this top part will crumble into sawdust.
The Flickers have been in the trees...
...but also bullying the Starlings for a place at the suet feeder.
Go Flickers!
The Acorns are present every day now.
This is a female.
A female at the feeder.
A handsome male using his strong tail feather as a prop to provide balance.
Yum!
Oh that is so pretty, framed! I have a few frames with that beading... I like it also. I have not gone out birding anymore this week, cause it has been raining. I tried yesterday, and the mosquitoes were awful so I headed back to my car, and JUST as I got back in, it poured again! Maybe next week... I want to find the Red-headed one... my last! I wonder if the Flickers will ever come to my feeders? You get such great shots! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish congrats is so pretty
ReplyDeleteLovely finish Beth and nice to see it framed so quickly! I went through my pile of finished but not finished pieces yesterday - there really are so many. I will have to take inspiration from you!
ReplyDeleteLovely bird photos as always.
Love the framing! Beautiful! Ok, now I'm wondering if the woodpecker I saw that day was a Hairy or a Downy. Hmmmm.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute finish
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely owl. Looks great with that frame
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely finish, and the frame compliments it so nicely! I always enjoy seeing your woodpeckers and flickers too.
ReplyDeleteLove that stitching. The birds always have something good to eat there! ;0D
ReplyDeleteI love your framed owl! It looks really good in the beaded frame!
ReplyDeleteAs always, beautiful birds!
