I am making good progress on "Forty Days & Forty Nights".
I expect to have a finish to share later this week.
We had a pretty sunrise the other day.
The light was extraordinary I thought.
I also had a couple of Flycatchers in the area.
Not sure what this is - could be a Hammond's, Pacific Slope, or Dusky.
It never spoke, so hard to tell.
It did exhibit the typical Flycatcher behavior.
It perched high up on this branch, and made short forays to grab an insect to eat.
Then returned to branch to do it all over again.
I had a male Western Tanager come by for just a moment. Long enough for me to see it and snap off one photo, then it was gone again. Late last summer I had a female and a juvenile Tanager hang out for a couple of weeks...here's hoping!
I had another Flycatcher the same evening. This one I think is a Western Pewee.
I'll leave you with a last photo of the morning sky as the sun rose to start another day.
Lovely stitching and lovely pictures, what a treat to start Monday morning. I really like your 'Forty Days & Forty Nights' so I'm on the lookout for the chart.
