I think I might have two different headers this month. This Easter header for the first couple of weeks, and another for the last half of the month.
On Monday I received a pleasant surprise.
Two male Evening Grosbeaks showed up!
They, of all the birds, herald SPRING to my mind.
I look forward to their return each year, in part because they are such handsome birds, but also because their song is so pleasant.
I am hoping that they are the earliest of the returnees, and that more birds will follow.
I adore their bright yellow eyebrow and tail feathers.
Welcome back guys!
Love the header! Hooray for spring heralds!!!
ReplyDeleteYour header is PERFECT! And those sweet birds...I'm looking up their song right now :) We don't have them here, I don't believe...
ReplyDeleteEllie and I have been listening to the Robins sing every morning on our walk to school. They sing so pretty :)
Very unusual birds Beth and I like your new header.
ReplyDeleteBuona Pasqua anche a te!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful header :-) I love all the Lizzie Kate designs. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteLove your header Beth, it just makes me smile! Great pictures of the evening grosbeaks!
ReplyDeleteI do love that Easter header! Welcome back grosbeaks. No sign of any here.
ReplyDeleteSuch a festive Easter header, Beth--love those pastels! And seeing it reminded me that I still have the March header up on my blog--oh, brother... Need to fix that today :)
ReplyDeleteLove the spring header! I've never seen an Evening Grosbeak before.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be eggs-cellent looking at this fine pastel chick every time I visit your blog this month. He's a cutie! :)
ReplyDeleteI love all your different headers. This one is great, very seasonal.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure we get Grosbeaks here, but will check... I watched them a lot on the BirdCams on our favorite website... I see the Ontario one is shutting down till next winter... sad face... But I hope to get out and see them for real, soon!
