It seems we are the Tale of Two Winters - either folks are being inundated with snow, or like me, having a snow-free winter.
I was pleased the other day to catch sight of a male Lesser Goldfinch.
The bright little yellow bird was hanging out with the Pine Siskins.
Besides lots of Pine Siskins, I am seeing more Mourning Doves than in past years.
I've counted 17 birds several times now.
My Scrub Jays normally number two or three, but they make enough racket for a dozen or more birds!
What a cute and cheery finish, Beth--such great colors in that one!
ReplyDeleteWe are in the middle as far as snow goes--only about 10". Perfect :)
I love the cooing of the Mourning Doves--such gentle birds...
A very sweet finish! No snow here yet, but it's being forecast for later this week - not looking forward to it :-(
ReplyDeleteLove your finish!
ReplyDeleteThat little goldfinch is so pretty! I think I've commented before that I started reading your blog for the stitching but have come to really enjoy the birds, too. And the cats, deer, squirrels and chipmunks, of course.
ReplyDeleteCute finish too, but I've had enough snow. ;)
What a cute Snow Gal! It seems to be since we are getting such warm weather, you are living your snowy winter through your linen! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little snow girl! That Lesser goldfinch is so pretty. We loved that site with the info on the chickadees! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhat, no snow??? I could send you a bunch!
ReplyDeleteLove the snowman finish….very cute and great colors.
More beautiful photos of some pretty birds. :-)
I was just thinking you haven't blogged about snow yet this winter! Cute snow-y finish tho! I have found that I have TWO separate Yellow-rumped Warblers visiting and also TWO Downy's!! Hoping to post today... Hugs!
ReplyDeleteCute Snow Belle. I really need to get started on these. I'd gladly send our 20+ inches of snow to you.
