I've got all the supplies together to begin stitching Twisted Thread's "January Snow". It's an over-one stitch, but I have enough gingham fabric that I'll be stitching it over-two instead. It has a snowman and some snowflakes, and so it is in keeping with my January stitching theme.
"January Snow" also shares the same color pallet as this Scrub Jay.
A rainy, blustery day did not deter this Red Tailed Hawk from keeping watch.
The recent rains have made looking listening for worms easy-peasy.
Our 'front yard' has been filled with Robins.
No robins for us yet! I'm going to go look this pattern up - I have some gingham that needs used up!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I love the colors in that piece you're starting...blues and purples, just my thing! We also have had a lot of rain and the robins are hopping around here as well.
ReplyDeleteNo robins here yet. I really can't see the design, but I love the color pallet!
ReplyDeleteYour robins are so different to ours, I don't think I've seen a photo of one before.
ReplyDeleteLovely colors for your new project! Haven't seen any robins here yet but have seen a couple of bluebirds in the last few days!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your bird photos! Your Reindeer sampler is adorable--congratulations on the finish! Your new project looks great, too--I'll enjoy watching your progress!
ReplyDeleteBeth--that picture of the scrub jay is beautiful! Last night I figured out that the bird I was about to stitch is a robin and not a cardinal. Made so much more sense in the color scheme! The weather was warm here--65--but going to drop a little tomorrow. NOT a bit like winter tho! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLove the bird photos! We sat on our porch today(cool but we had hot chocolate) and saw a huge woodpecker. Birds are such a treat to watch. I love that fabric. I would always prefer to stitch over two!
ReplyDeleteoooothe colours look lovely and can't wait to see it on the gingham ... the wee birdies are gorgeous to but your robins are different to ours ... hope you have a good stitchy day :) love mouse xxxx
ReplyDeleteEnglish Robins dont look like that. I managed to photograph one today and will include in my next post for you.
ReplyDeleteLove all the other birds so different from the UK.
Please keep them coming.
Love the color palette in "January Snow"....Would you mind listing them, please? Just love the combination!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
