Tuesday was a good day for Nuthatches!

 

I got to watch a Red-breasted Nuthatch eating peanuts at the front of the house.

Bit of peanut and nuthatch tongue!

Upside down birds are the best.

Then on a large Douglas fir tree at the Big Bird Feeder...

I spied a couple of White-breasted Nuthatches.

They seem to be more shy than the Red-breasted, and do not come up near the house.
