I posted a photo of a sunflower yesterday, so thought it right to post across stitched sunflower today. 

Here's part of my group of Purple Martins.

These are all young birds.

There's also a glossy adult male.

He's quite handsome.

While the Purple Martins have fledged, Mama Barn Swallow is still sitting on her nest.

I think the eggs should hatch any day now.

Is there anything homelier than a young Steller's Jay in molt?
