We will download the memory cards from the two trail cameras today.
Here's a preview of what we might see when I post next weekend.
A red racer - it's possible!
I've seen this snake three times now.
I don't think that we've ever 'captured' a chipmunk on the trail cameras.
Three chippies have greeted me each morning this past week.
I've had as many as 6 or seven earlier in the spring.
One persists on coming up on the back patio.
Parvati to a good shot at getting him Thursday morning. She's old, but she's still quick.
Fewer bunnies in late June than in April and May.
Pretty quiet on the deer front too.
I think that most of the does are heavily pregnant and / or have just given birth and so are not around.
On Wednesday evening at 5:51pm I looked up and saw this bobcat walking along the edge of the backyard.
The cat moved quickly and I only managed a couple of photos.
He did walk past the trail camera, so we should have some more photos to share next weekend.
It's so amazing all the wildlife you have around your place. The bobcat would freak me out though.
ReplyDeleteWow I would love to see a chipmunk, but I think the bobcat is just marvelous ! I don't know much about snakes (I have some inside -my boyfriend ones- and outside at home) but never saw a red racer... I thought first is was a thamnophis but I can't remember one with a red stripe, so... then I realized you wrote the name "red racer" (first thought it was a nickname, I NEED to learn speaking english but I also need to learn reading WELL the texts hehe). Thanks for sharing all those marvelous pics !
ReplyDeleteYeah, that bobcat would make me nervous to say the least! And a snake... hmmm... not sure how I would react seeing one. Love the chippies! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteUm no thanks to the red racer or the bobcat!!
ReplyDeleteOh Beth, I don't think I would like to be seeing either the snake or the bobcat in my back garden:-)
ReplyDeleteThat Bob-cat is such a strong looking animal. The snake, I can do without!! While I would never harm one, I really don't want one anywhere near me!!
ReplyDeleteI would rather not see a bobcat or a snake of any kind on my walking trail. Enjoy your nature photos very much. Have a great 4th! RJ @ stitching friends forever
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to see all the wildlife that surrounds you, and especially lovely to know that you respect their presence.
ReplyDeleteI don't comment very often, but always read. Love all your photos..except the SNAKE. Now I will feel creepy all day. Have a great 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos your trail camera captures, that is one strong looking bobcat!!! I would love to see him in person. Mary
ReplyDeleteI just looked back at your photos and realized you captured the photo of the bobcat!!
