Look at those cheeks!
And those cheeks!
With hibernation right around the corner, the chipmunks are frantically gathering up sunflowers and rushing off to store them away.
All four of the chipmunks had super- sized cheeks.
I will miss having them around.
And so will Tom-Cat!
The chipmunks have had to share with a new visitor.
This is a California Ground Squirrel. It is brown with white flecks and notice the tail. It has a ling narrow tail - very different from the bushy tails of the grey squirrels.
The California Ground Squirrel likes sunflower seeds - who doesn't?
But he also was working away eating Snowberries.
Chipmunks drive the poodles wild, but I do think they are cute.
ReplyDeleteI think the chipmunks are so cute. We have mostly brown squirrels here, with a few black ones. The black ones are cuter than our common brown ones. They are smaller too.
ReplyDeleteCute little creatures. The squirrels have been visiting our deck and gathering up the maple seeds!
ReplyDeleteOh those little guys are completely adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh, I just want to pinch those chubby cheeks--they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of the chipmunks! They are just so cute! Ours have left for the winter. I have never seen a California squirrel - his tail is interesting. We have gray, black and red squirrels.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwww. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI live in a city, so we only have squirrels. And they are pests, with the occasional humorous antics! ONE day recently I appreciated them... After a big rain, we had toadstools all over our lawn, underneath all the fallen leaves. The lawn was mowed and there they were! But once the squirrels saw them, they were gone and the squirrels were fatter! So I was grateful!
