Friday Framed Finish

It's time to share a Framed Finish.
This is Arachnes Silken Web "Banded Bee Skep".
I loved loved loved stitching this.
All the different stitches were so much fun to learn.
I really like the different textures the stitches make.

Here's a close up of the frame I chose.

And here it is!
I think the finish looks fabulous.
I have more framed bee skeps than any other motif.
Bees just call to me I guess.

Who calls Tom-Cat? (Besides me when he's run off that is).
Birds certainly.

The Sharp-shinned Hawk has patrolled the area daily.

My group of Cedar Waxwings continues to be elusive.
See the flock of 11 flying into a large Douglas Fir?

At best all I've been able to 'see' are some rather blurry birds.

I continue to hear them and hope that they'll come in closer.

The California Quail stay close to the berm and brush watching for hawks and other dangers.

The Acorn Woodpeckers are busy at work.  I think they are stashing peanuts in their granary tree.

And Good Things do come to those who wait!

My Pileated Woodpecker came by Wednesday morning.

He called out and then I heard him working away.

I found him!

Such a fun bird - always a pleasure to see.
