Biting Off More Than I Can Chew!

I have some more cat stitches all kitted up and ready to go.
Yep six of them.  Crazy and more than I can crank out this month for sure.  The problem was that they all sang a siren song.

The Hufflepuffs were too tired to weigh in, so I'll pick the next stitch myself.

I continue to be blessed with awesome birding.

I thought all of my Flycatchers had left for South America.

But the Western Wood-Pewee is still here!

\
He's only five inches tall and he's going to fly to northwestern South America soon.

Doesn't this look like a shy and demure young female Flicker?

And back to Yellow Birds we go!

With their bright tale tips, the Ceder Waxwings count as yellow birds.

As often happens, when I see Waxwings, I see a Western Tanager as well.

Most male House Finches are red, but this one (on the left) has a yellow throat.

Here are a couple of Lesser Goldfinches - currently they are the brightest colored finches.

Here is something rare!
It's a group shot of my California Quail Covey.
I think I got almost all of the 25 birds.

What do you think Acorn Woodpeckers chat about at the water cooler?
Or maybe this is the dinner table with Junior on the left, Dad in the center and Mom on the right.

Pondering things like that makes me sleepy!

  3. I know just what you mean about that siren song. I've heard it too. I think I'll have to live to be 100 and pray for good eyesight. Even then, I doubt I'd get to all I want to do. :-)

  5. My favourite is the Mosey n Me cat. I stitched the PS letter K years ago and it's quite a bit of stitching if I remember correctly.

  8. How nice that you have lots of designs kitted up, but sorry that I can't help you choose one to stitch. I'm more like the kitties and need a nap, lol. Enjoyed seeing all your birds.

  10. Oh, I hope you'll stitch the Prairie Schooler "K" one--just love it. I can see why they all screamed your name, though, Beth :)
