There's a common theme with my stitching and gardening this week.
I've kitted up Cottage Garden Samplings "October's Marigold". This pattern uses WDW threads in green, yellow, orange, and rust. I am excited to begin.
Though it is not yet October, these colors are also reflected in my garden. As it is time for the Tuesday Garden Party, let's go take a look.
My sister planted a row of marigolds in her dahlia garden.
While I complain daily about our 90f+ weather, the marigolds are thriving in the heat.
The sedums also like this weather just fine.
I have a tiny terracota chicken which I've filled with bits and snips of different sedums.
Another Happy Camper - a New Zealand flax.
I have a late blooming purple salvia and a couple of orange perennial mimulus. I think this arrangement is going to be a keeper.
I have the largest and healthiest coleus I've ever grown this year. I think it has been hot enough that I've been unable to over-water them as I normally do!
The Ratibida columnifera has been perfectly happy with the prolonged heat
and drought.
There's something about pumpkin orange flowers that make me smile.
I hope that you've smiled while taking this garden tour with me today.
Yes! I have smiled. :) Lovely colors.
ReplyDeleteThe warmth of the orange flowers is so lovely to see. A lovely mix today Beth.
