The leaves and stems are coming right along and I should finish this up shortly. I'm trying to decide my favorite element - the bunting perhaps?
We've had blue sky day after blue sky day.
Days worth singing about!
The American Goldfinches are among the last birds to breed waiting until August when the thistle seeds are ripe.
Nonetheless I feel as though they've started to pair up.
I think the female is rather coy.
Blushing and turning aside.
Then flirting a bit.
I hope you have a day worth singing about.
One year ago today Mom and I visited the Museum of London, and by chance, a couple of gardens.
Nice going on August! The lighthouse and waves are my favourite :-)
ReplyDeleteSweet birdies!
ReplyDeleteI really really really love this August stitching! It's wonderful! My favorite of the bunch! Love the birds too. The female goldfinch really does look like she's being coy. lol!
ReplyDeleteYes, the bunting is great. I like the waves a lot too. :)
ReplyDeleteSweet couple. ;)
The borders on that series are so great!! I wish I could attract a few goldfinch. We finally have a gray rainy day. We needed the rain so I won't complain.
ReplyDeleteSweet couple ;)

ReplyDeleteI was just watching our goldfinch couple this morning as I sat and ate breakfast--they really are so adorable with each other! What great photos you got...
ReplyDeleteThis Garden Journal piece is so sweet--I think I love the poppies most of all.
I agree with Giovanna, the waves and the little lighthouse are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great series, I'm really enjoying seeing them stitched up.
Very nice seeing the finches. I have NONE around this year so far and I miss them. I hope they come back after the hawks have moved on. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching. I am loving watching this series stitch up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little courting couple.
