The other morning this newly fledged baby Robin tried it's best to get its parent to FEED IT!
It chirped and chattered and put on a very sad face.
In response, the Robin parent just looked quietly exhausted!
The House Finches have babies too.
This newly fledged baby looks like he has a bad case of "bed head".
Feathers sticking up every which-way.
He also twittered and squawked for food.
I expect some of my Hummingbirds might be youngsters too, but it is beyond me to be able to tell.
I just enjoy watching them hover as they eat.
They truly are aerial acrobats.
One year ago today Mom and I took a London walk from Little Venice to Camden Locks.
Such a sweet post xxx

Heeeeeeee! The babies are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteThe downside to having the hawks nesting so close to the house again this year is almost ZERO songbirds and the like at my feeders. I still get woodpeckers and cardinals but all the rest are mostly gone. Either picked off or just because they know better. I just saw my first chipmunk last week as well and I usually have multiple families going. Miss my chippies. :(
