A Perfect October Day

It's October at the Lane County Farmers' Market.

Going to the market is one of the things I missed doing while in the U.K.
I've been remiss in going since I returned in late August.
Saturday dawned with a blue sky and sunshine, so off to the market I went with my Mom and sister.

Onions, pumpkins, and squash

Peppers in all colors and sizes

Leeks

Carrots, onions, and pumpkins

Fresh ginger

An autumn bouquet

Turmeric

Figs

Squash and pumpkins

Chantrelle mushrooms

I'm hungry now, aren't you?

  3. Oh those mushrooms! I love mushrooms and I know this is the season!

Tumeric! I've never seen fresh tumeric before. The powered stuff is something I am into these days with a Hot drink of it with honey and lemon!

    Fall markets are wonderfully colourful!

  5. I love the market photos! Our market is really slowing down. We have been caught in a fog bank here for two days. Very gloomy!

  6. Oh, wow! Look at all those great looking peppers! And, honestly, I don't think I have EVER seen fresh ginger before like that. It's always dried and tan looking when I buy it. It's pink! And green! Who knew??? lol

The farmers market here is done until spring and I'm going to miss it. :(
