Next up..."Painted Egg" by The Cricket Collection. The fabric I'm using for this is an especailly lovely color called "Spring Meadow Green". I figured since we have had so many baby birds around, there must have been alot of eggs in the genesis of this avian population explosion! So this will serve to commemorate this year's hatchings.
Wednesday night was a perfect summer evening. We all went outside after dinner to enjoy the diminishing of the day.
We let Padma-Cat (an Indoor Cat) spend a bit of time on the Front Porch. He was in heaven - sniffing and smelling all the new smells.
Fortunately he never noticed this bunny...
Daddy Quail was up in a young fir tree keeping watch over his brood...
These sunny days have allowed the Moss Roses to come on strong.
I often wish I could describe the scents and sounds of this time of year. Once again, I'll rely on a picture to do the heavy lifting. Is there a better scent than the cinnamon spice of an Oriental Lily? Not to mention that they are also lovely...
Love your next project and the pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lilies. I look forward to seeing your Cricket design, I like her designs a lot.
ReplyDeleteStitched that little bird on the egg years ago. It was a fun stitch. Each spring it goes up on the washstand in my front hall. Maria. S., Waterloo, Ont.
