Christmas Decorations - Part Three

It's almost Christmas Eve.  I hope the baking, decorating, and wrapping are behind you by now.

We will host Christmas dinner.  My sister sets a lovely table and I'll share that after the holiday.  For now you can admire the decorations on the runner.

I like to create little vignettes like this gnome home and the three elves / gnomes.

This is a new Hallmark display I purchased to show off some of their mini ornaments.

The lighted birch tree warms a corner of the room.

It's decorated with birds!  Surprise!

Hallmark has a series called "The Beauty of Birds" which we feature.

We also have an owl tree.

There's no shortage of cute and funky owl ornaments.

And we have an entire forest atop the buffet.

It being Oregon, we had to have a beaver!

One tree features cones...

..another sprouts an eclectic group of mushrooms.

A hodgepodge of cones, mushrooms, and silver stars.

Here's another look at the forest.

The china cabinet has festive dinnerwear and smaller holiday decorations.

Penguins and a Winter Wren (Marjolein Bastin once agin).

And high atop the china cabinet there are two more small trees.
One has the "Twelve Days of Christmas" ornaments, and this one?  Yep - still more birds!

Well I'm off to bake a couple kinds of cookies and some mint brownies. What are you doing today?

  1. Oh Beth, your home is just gorgeous. Today I am wrapping a few last presents. And stitching Madeleine's gift!! I WILL finish it today while she works. Then make it an ornament! Wish me luck!

  3. Just love all of your trees, Beth! How many do you have in total--big and small? The white birch is so lovely--and all the bird ornaments are so perfect for you :)

Me? Baking cookies and waiting for my youngest son to arrive from DC so I can spoil him!!

    Merry Christmas!

  4. Beth what a wonderful tour we were on. I love all of your trees and like Carol was wondering how many in total you had. Your lights glow so perfectly and show off the pretty birds so well just like your weekly photos do.

I'm done baking and cleaning for the most part. All the cookies are made and just have to make a peppermint bark ice cream cake with a chocolate crust for Christmas dinner dessert.

Mike our son and I are going out later this afternoon to pick up a few more small gifts. RJ

  7. Your home is absolutely lovely. I have so enjoyed seeing your themed trees. No more work for me. We went for a wonderful walk today in Blodel Reserve. Our daughter has a membership. To me, it was the perfect way to prepare for Christmas.
