April Easter Blog Header

Garden Grumbles & Cross Stitch Fumblers April 215 Easter Blog Header

Row #1: Lizzie Kate, "Spring Things" - "Peep".
Row #2: Lizzie Kate, "Peep"
Row #3: SamSarah Designs, "Baubles April"; Lizzie Kate, "Chicks"; Shepherd's Bush, "Little Eggs".

I think I might have two different headers this month. This Easter header for the first couple of weeks, and another for the last half of the month.

On Monday I received a pleasant surprise.

Two male Evening Grosbeaks showed up!

They, of all the birds, herald SPRING to my mind.

I look forward to their return each year, in part because they are such handsome birds, but also because their song is so pleasant.

I am hoping that they are the earliest of the returnees, and that more birds will follow.

I adore their bright yellow eyebrow and tail feathers.
Welcome back guys!

  11. I am not sure we get Grosbeaks here, but will check... I watched them a lot on the BirdCams on our favorite website... I see the Ontario one is shutting down till next winter... sad face... But I hope to get out and see them for real, soon!
