Don't stress over the approaching holiday.
Just get into the festive spirit.
My sister and I set out our respective Santa collections.
These are mine. Most of them are hand carved and painted by the amazingly talented local artisan, Steve Gordon.
My sister also has several Steve Gordon Santas.
Tom-Cat must have all his shopping done and his gifts wrapped.
Remember my Cardinal Envy thing?

He rests atop my mother's Bird Tree.
The tree has nests...
...and birds of all sorts...
...woodpeckers and owls...
...and partridges...
...and eagles...
and yet more cardinals...
...and exotics!
The stockings are hung.
Oh, I think we were too noisy...Tom-Cat looks like he is waking up!
I need to get my hair cut, wrap a few more gifts, decorate a bit more, and bake. I guess I can rest on the 26th, right?
That bird tree is spectacular! Love the cardinal topper. Quite an impressive Santa collection, too.

Wow! I love all the santas and the bird tree! Tom-Cat has the right idea -- RELAX! My MIL decided that we should celebrate yesterday, so I had a frantic push to get everything done early, but now I can relax and enjoy the next couple of days. WHEW!

ReplyDeleteOh my, thank you for the tour of your decorating. Love the bird tree and the cardinal topper is perfect. The Santas are perfect - definitely will be looking up Steve Gordon. My cats helped me wrap this morning and are now all resting from the ordeal.
