Saturday's Chores

For early November, Saturday turned out be a pretty nice day.
Any day that is not cold and rainy in November qualifies as a nice day!

As you can see, Solomon enjoyed some Outside Time.

As did his sister, Parvati.

As for me, I decide to start with my least favorite garden task:
Emptying and cleaning my disused pots.

I'll get them put away today after they've dried.

On a nice day, I cannot work outside without Cat Supervision.
On Saturday Solomon and Padma were endlessly helpful.

They worked in tandem which also allowed them to monitor my sister as she cleaned her dahlia tubers to prep them for division.

Next up for me: Planting Spring Bulbs.

I waited until the end of October to buy bulbs, so I didn't have much to chose from this year.

While trying to take a picture of the packages, I was endless Photo Bombed.

I put together an assortment of pots for the bulbs.

I made tags and potted everything up.
These will all reside on the Front Porch.
The 10 pots of bulbs will provide me with some early color beginning in late February with snowdrops, and continuing on with the narcissus in March, the muscari in April, and finally, the tulips in May.
A productive day!
