Half Way Through July

Design - "USA"
Chart - "Land That I Love"
Designer - Bent Creek
Fabric - 32 count Summer Khaki linen
Fibers - GAST & WDW - 2 strands over 2 threads
Started - 16 July 2014
Completed - 17 July 2014

Here's what's been going on.

A newly fledged Steller's Jay.
The signs: All black head and red around the mouth edges.

A male Black-headed Grosbeak

Not singing nearly as much as they were in May and June.

A newly fledged Flicker with Dad Bird.

Weirdly I never see the mom's feeding newly fledged woodpeckers.

The adult females just hang out by themselves.

Apparently their parenting responsibilities are done.

There are 2-3 Sharp-shinned Hawks out and about.

They are hassling Baby Crow something fierce.
I shew them away when I see them.
One tried to take out a California Ground Squirrel Saturday evening.
