One Off?

Monday evening I was pleased to have a male Acorn Woodpecker at a sunflower feeder in the back yard.

I'd heard the bird calling and found it on the side of a large Douglas fir tree.  

It then flew in to examine the feeders in the back yard.

The bird fed at the feeders for five minutes or so.

It appeared calm and comfortable.

Though I was disappointed that more Acorn Woodpeckers did not show up, I am hopeful that this is not a one off event.
