Another Lesson

Further progress with "O be Joyful" and now to stitch a snowman and a couple of snowflakes.

What's up with birds?

Some Acorn Woodpecker action.

A California Quail family.

Babies preening in a blackberry thicket.

Three male Black-headed Grosbeaks.

Ready for another birding ID lesson?

Do you know who this might be?  It feeding on the ground is a clue.
It's a juvenile Dark-eyed Junco - subspecies Oregon.

And here's what it will look like as a mature adult.

  1. Oh Be Joyful is looking good, Beth. I love seeing the differences between the mature and the juvenile Dark-Eyed Junco.
