On the last day of February.....we celebrate that earlier in the week, the hummers were out in force.
On Wednesday the 24th, I had the first sighting of a female Anna's gathering on processed cotton to use in the construction of her nest.
No, it's not too early.
There's an advantage to getting started before the more aggressive Rufous arrive in mid-March.
