Fall Stitch / Fall Birds

Design - "October Curls" - Snappers
Designer - Bent Creek
Fabric - 32 count Country French Cafe
Fibers - GAST & WDW
Started - 20 October 2010
Completed - 22 October 2010

In the past couple of weeks some of my fall / winter birds have returned.

It's nice to have Fox Sparrows once again.

And a little Ruby-crowned Kinglet came to visit.

The males have a bright ruby stripe atop their head that shows when they are agitated.

Otherwise, they're best ID'd by their size...

...The white two the sides of the eye and the yellow wingbars.

The bright yellow/orange feet are distinctive too.

They will eat suet so I'm hoping this little bird chooses to return.

Peek-a-boo!
