Around and about the house and backyard.
A cooler summer has meant the roses continue to perform.
I've certainly enjoyed them.
The thistles have gone to seed.
The Cascara is providing berries for birds.
Tansy Ragwort
The hazelnuts have been opened and cached.
A cluster of blackberries.
Hawthorn berries - so pretty. I am hoping when they ripen that the Cedar Waxwings will come by.
Hazel brush is already setting catkins for next year.
Wild honeysuckle.
A cloud of thistle seed.
Big leaf maple seeds.
Queen Anne's Lace
Zinnias - the hummingbirds work this patch each morning.
Everything is still looking so pretty! Even the thistle that has gone to seed.
ReplyDeleteBeth, you are so blessed with your Summer weather. We've had a hot one this year with over 50 days of 90+ degrees. Your photos of the nuts and berries sets my mood for Autumn stitching.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk! The roses are still so pretty!
