My father worked at the Wendling sawmill somewhere about that time. When we lived in Marcola in the 80's there were only vague remnents of the Wendling sawmill left.
How neat , Beth! Oh, the good old days when the post office could find you. My pet peeve is when the post office changes rural addressing systems then refuses to deliver mail unless you know the person’s “new” address. It’s the same person at the same physical place, in a town of 1000 people.... haha.
