It is always a thrill when I have two birds at the same feeder!
99% of the time it is two female Anna's.
I talked to someone who has seven hummingbird feeders because he has seven birds and they won't share!
I have five feeders and probably that many birds too.
Here's my adult male Anna's.
Showing off his 'bling'!
He does not believe in sharing.
So multiple feeders are they way to go.
You are a good birder to have multiple feeders, lots of extra work because those beauties won't share!
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting! I wonder why they don't like to share.
ReplyDeleteNope, they don't like to share. During the summer we have 8-10 hanging out there and they still fight over the feeders. They are entertaining in their antics.
ReplyDeleteLove your hummers!!! You are kind to make sure they are all fed. RJ
ReplyDeleteAnnas were the first Hummers I ever saw - I got rather ridiculously excited!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures.

You are such a good person to keep feeding the hummers, which in turn rewards you with great pictures/views like these you have shared! I appreciate that! Hugs!
