I thought this gray squirrel looked rather like a drowned rat - wet and miserable in the rain.
He found shelter and the sunflower seeds I did not put away.
Chester Chipmunk straddling logs while delicately consuming a single sunflower seed.
Dainty table manners.
The woodpile is a safe dining spot...
...but the back patio? No so safe!
Fortunately Padma and Parvati did not see him.
Run Chip run!
Parvati is channeling her late father Tom-Cat, and as spring approaches she is taking more interest in the brush rabbits.
And as there are often two or three in the backyard, she does not have far to look.
The notch in the ear - there's probably a story there.
Big soft velvet nose.
Watch out for hawks and cats and owls guys!
I love the wildlife photos.
