Though school has begun, September is a lovely month to travel!

Many retired Americans travel this month as National Parks and the like are far less crowded.

The birds are on the move too and I've had some neat visitors this past week. 

I continue to see Cedar Waxwings.

This is a juvenile bird - not terribly handsome as the mature adults are, but it does have the bright yellow-tipped tail feathers.

On Tuesday I was so excited to see a pair of Black-throated Gray Warblers.

They were in constant motion, so it was difficult to get a photo.

A Willow Flycatcher has come by for several days too.

It took me a while to ID the bird as it did not 'talk' and was not up in the treetops sallying for insects.

It is a sweet little bird.

There!  That's how it should behave! 

On Wednesday morning a female Wilson's Warbler came by briefly.

I think the blackberries might have been the attraction.

Here's a Yellow-breast Chat!  What else could it be called?

The bright yellow caught my eye as the bird did not speak.

Having seen three members of the Warbler Family: Yellow-breasted Chat, Black-throated Gray Warbler, and Wilson's Warbler, I think the fall migration must have begun. I will savor once last look at these lovely birds as I'll not see them again until spring of next year.
