This blue frame picks up the blues of the alphabet perfectly.
It's tough to be a song bird with all the hawks that have been hanging around.
It's hard to see the tail, but I think it is a Sharp-shinned Hawk.
With up to fifty Pine Siskins in the area, the hawk has a good chance to snatch a meal.
Four Pine Siskins in a row.
They've been flocking to my feeders.
When they fly the yellow of the wings glows - see the bird flying to the feeder on the right?
There is constant fluttering and flapping as the birds come and go.
This piece is so perfect for you, Beth, with all the beautiful birds and the cute kitty--I love it! Looks so nice in that blue frame, too...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of For the Birds is the cat! :)
ReplyDeleteBeth, that is the perfect sampler for you. It is just beautiful and I agree the framed looks great with the blue in the sampler.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sampler piece! ( I love everything from The Drawn Thread!!). That blue frame was a great choice.
ReplyDeleteIt is true that the cat is 'purr''-fectly fun in that piece.
