I wish I had better photos to share with you.
This fawn was literally kicking up his heels.
Bucking and jumping and feeling his oats!
He was extremely frisky!
Have you ever seen a deer smiling / laughing?
I didn't think so!
The female Flicker had a much more serious demeanor.
As did the Rufous Hummingbird. I came so close to being able to take a photo of two, yes two birds at the feeder at the same time!
Here's some cheery Spring faces!
These pansies are true survivors! I planted them in November and while I did take them in during our awful weather in December and February, they've been outside on the Front Porch the rest of the time.
They are loving our mild April weather.
I hope your April weather is a treat too.
So much fun, seeing the frolicking fawn! Beautiful pansies. Love pansies! So tough they are too! Ah, hummingbird.....
ReplyDeleteOh those sweet deer. Thanks for sharing the pics.
ReplyDeleteThe pansies! I adore them. They are my absolute favorites. And the ruffled ones! I did not find them locally last year. The BEST!
Both flora and fauna seem to have decided that Spring is here:-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pansies, and that deer really does look like he's smiling!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like one happy deer!!! I have never seen an expression like that! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteThe pansies are wonderful--it's about to get hot here in Mississippi, so there won't be any pansies left! Yours still look so pretty! That's one of my favorite flowers.
I just love watching our resident deer, too, Beth! We have a group of six that regularly entertain us during our dinner hour...
ReplyDeleteLovely pansies, too--to me they truly symbolize the start of spring...
What fun deer photos. I love seeing the pansies. They do speak Spring to me! I have some that spent the entire winter on the deck and they are blooming like crazy after a bit of fertilizer.
ReplyDeleteI actually have seen a deer make a similar face, though I didn't know if it was a smile or not, lol. I wish I had some blooming pansies!
ReplyDeleteLove the pansies... great colors! Last time I saw a deer, which was probably also the FIRST time I saw a deer up close, was at the wildlife refuge. Came right up near us...
