Series Sunday Progress

What with one thing and another (life) I haven't worked on Cottage Garden Sampling's "June's Delphinium" for a couple of weeks. Sunday evening's Oscar telecast provided the perfect opportunity to get back on track.  I managed to stitch one leaf and a stock of delphinium.

Padma and Parvati used the evening to map out a new Synchronized Sleeping routine.

We've had fog, and sun, and rain.

None of it much seems to bother the birds.

There are now up to five Turkey Vultures gliding across the sky.

I used to have lots of Mourning Doves.  The most I've seen this year is two.  I blame all the Cooper's and Sharp-shinned Hawks that hang around.

There have been some sightings of Gray Jays a couple of miles from my house.  Their usual habitat is in Canada, Alaska, the Rockies, and the Cascade Mountains.  It would be really cool (and most unusual) to see them here.

Juncos galore.

The Downy Woodpecker decided to check out my Bark Butter feeder. I'm so impressed he did not use the perch, but managed to find his footing with his sharp claws and the use of his strong tail feathers.

I'm going to have to remove the tray from this feeder in an attempt to discourage the Band-tailed Pigeons.  The group is growing larger.  They managed to eat about 1/2 of a larger cylinder's worth of food.
