Bright Colors Dull Days

With day after day of damp foggy, I needed a project with a color pop to brighten my spirits.  I chose "Warm Winter Welcome" by Barbara Ana Designs.  It's like stitching with a new box of Crayola crayons!

My little Downy continues to be a regular visitor.

He is such a sweet little bird.

He is the prefect size to hang out on the small Japanese Maple we have near the feeders.

Somehow he is able to find foot-hold on the smooth bark...

...and have a look around.

Then it's over to the suet feeder for a bite.

I'm trying to decided if I just have one bird, or if a couple of different males come to the feeder.

I've never seen more than one at a time so it is difficult to tell.
Bird Mystery!

  3. That is the perfect project for this time of year. I love the colors. We have had some sun for about an hour in the late afternoon.

  4. I always loved getting a new box of crayons and if I was lucky to get the big box of 64, I was one happy girl! I agree that bright colors are needed this time of year and I can't wait to see your Warm Winter Welcome finished. Your little Downy is cute. I have one that's been a regular here too.

  5. I did one of her designs... it was a fun stitch! The only way to know if it is one or more downy's is to take the pictures each time, and compare them with a magnifying glass!
