So this little stitch has some synergy as it has both an owl and a pumpkin!
Having deer in the backyard is not a big deal.
Having this Bad Boy in the backyard is a Big Deal!
We rarely have bucks up near the house.
I was inside when this one strolled by.
He was on Full Alert - he was extremely watchful and his nose twitched constantly.
In the first three photos it looks as though he was calling.
If so, I did not hear it inside the house.
He was only around for a few minutes.
Then he moved off, back to the safety of the forest.
I don't know why, but it is always more exciting to spot those bucks. They are definitely elusive.
ReplyDeleteWow, do you think he was looking for the girls?? Maybe he just heard about this great place and had to check it out.
ReplyDeleteSweet stitches..

Congrats on your owl finish -- he's a cutie. And your visitor -- well, stately comes to mind to describe him :)
ReplyDeleteHe's a big fellow, great to see in your garden though.
ReplyDeleteCute owl! And your visitor is a handsome one!
ReplyDeleteWow, a buck! Why is it that females are so common but we rarely see males? I do wonder. It's the same around here.
ReplyDeleteVery cute owl but an amazing deer. Those antlers were something!
ReplyDeleteI like that little owl! A buck! Whoa! It DOES look like he was calling out! Maybe rounding up the herd to go home for the day... Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSweet owl :)
ReplyDeleteThat buck is pretty big. Glad he didn't stick around.
"October" is too cute! That Bad Boy is definitely a big guy, but I think he looks majestic too.
ReplyDeleteLovely owl finish. It's a wonder you didn't hear him, they can be quite noisy, can't they?
