Lazy, Rainy Weekend

Solomon, my Mom, Padma
Saturday was a 'normal' Oregon Winter day - mild and rainy.
We all liked it, but spent most of the day inside.

Some of us though have outerwear with a bit of natural water-proofing.

We expect rain in January, and do not let it stop us from our appointed rounds.

I find the sound of rain on the roof a comforting sound.

And I don't have to fill the birdbaths when it rains.

Though if this guy continues to hang around, there won't be much of anyone at the birdbath or feeder.

  3. The cats look like they are in heaven! I have really been enjoying your pics. When I saw LK's new reindeer, immediately popped in my mind! Wanda (p.s. the birds are loving their new temperature controlled bird bath!) Wanda

  4. The cats look so relaxed. Ours are currently sound asleep on their cradle. It's been rainy here too - the snow has gone completely.

  5. Feels like it was a very cozy day. Actually that's what I am feeling like now, spend Sunday inside and stitch to my heart's content.

  10. That's a good picture of you! Looks like a perfect weekend to me cuddled up with the fuzzy ones and reading a book. Doesn't get any better than that on a winter weekend.

  11. We're having a mild and rainy day today and tomorrow. Got up this morning to temps in the upper 40's - quite unusual for this part of Illinois in January. Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the mid 60's with heavy rain and thunderstorms.

    Love all the pics!
