Not Stitching, But Decorating

Since it is readily apparent that stitching has been set by the wayside for a while, lets take a step back in time!

Design - "A-Wassailing" (kit)
Designer - Shakespeare's Peddler
Fabric - 40 count Vintage Meadow Rue Lakeside linen
Fibers - GAST Limited Edition colors
Started - 23 December 2001
Completed - 29 December 2011

If you want to see some amazing holiday stitching (and finishing) and knitting, take a look at Melanie's blog Moonraker Lampwerks.  I'm humbled by her extraordinary talents!

In the afternoons and evenings after work, I've been decorating!
You've seen the Bird Tree; here's a hutch in the hallway between the mudroom and pantry.

The over-arching theme for this display is 'Snowmen'.

I have tins, a few ornaments, and lots of salt and pepper shakers.

  2. Love your stitching. Reminds me that I should stitch that one too. I bought the kit when it got released and still haven't stitched it yet.
    LOVE your collection.

  6. An amazing collection. I have never heard of a hutch before. Vintage meadow rue is a gorgeous fabric, I am using it on my current project.

  7. Ya think you have enough shakers??!! Wow! It is a lot of one theme! We have a local stitcher who, with her husband, collect salt and pepper shakers of every kind! They have a house-full!! Great pictures! Hugs!
