I keep working away on "Rabbit Alphabet", but I am so not a Big Project Girl. I did manage to finish the section with the big bunny and the letters Q and R.
Honestly though, I'm getting bored.
I'm losing interest.
What then do I have planned for October Owl Stitching you ask?
Three Big Projects! Go figure.
Padma thinks he blends in with the Autumn grass so well as to be darned near invisible.
No this herd of Elk is not in my back yard!
On the way to the coast, near Mapleton, OR there is a field where Elk regularly gather. This is the field - these are the Elk.
I should mention though that I've seen a couple of Elk tracks on our property, so maybe someday I'll have a "home grown" Elk photo to show you.
Here's a sure sign of Fall - a Banded Woolly Bear Caterpillar. You can read more about them here.
I managed to sneak up on a young Bullfrog residing in the Quarry Pond.
Here's a young female California Quail.
Tom-Cat says that October is the start of Hunting Season!
beautiful sampler..
ReplyDeletepadma is so sweettttttttttt
all the pictures are so cute..
hugs for you xx
Your comment about big projects made me smile. I used to love big projects but my attention span is most definitely getting shorter these days. The caterpillar is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe sampler is beautiful I love the color you are using. Maybe taking a break from it and picking it up later will help or do a small piece on the side. That's what I do on big projects.
ReplyDeleteThe "Rabbit Sampler" is so pretty. I think you will find it worth the time it takes. I've been seeing those caterpillars too.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I was amazed at those elk! Are they allowed to be hunted? I would hope not, at least in that area if they're not known to gather in that one spot.
ReplyDeleteIf you're getting bored with your WIP, switch out and pick something smaller or different to work on. Give yourself a bit of time on the bigger project each day and then work on what isn't frustrating you. Life is too short to be annoyed/frustrated/tired of what should be relaxing! (So sayeth the woman with about 10+ WIPs...)
