When I looked at our rain gauge Friday morning it showed over 1.5" of rain (from Monday-Thursday).
If your Garden Gnome comes inside to sleep because he is cold...that's another sign of a gray, rainy week!
The rain has enhanced the meadow grasses...
...they are festooned with droplets.
Beauty in the common-place.
Another sign of 1.5" of rain!
This little guy's fur was soaking-wet.
And this little guy had to shake the rain off his feathers.
The Violet-Green Swallows though are undeterred by the weather.
Nest building continues apace!
Have never seen the Violet-Green swallows--pretty! We had a fair amount of rain too! The pictures of the green bean sprouts that I posted would be different today--two more sprouted (100% of them now, surprisingly enough!)and the others are taller. But... something is chewing on the leaves, so I used soap water this morning. We shall see. Don't want to have to use chemicals. Love the pictures of the rain droplets! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThat little swallow is gorgeous! I see that Norman has the right idea - naps are good for you! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI hope the sun shines soon so Mr. Gnome can get back outside!
ReplyDeleteWahoo! We had 2-1/2 hours of rain last night. Because of how dry everything was, it turned out to be a great way to start the holiday weekend, IMO!
ReplyDeleteYou have the prettiest birds.
Bobbi
The gnome pic cracks me up!
