The Weekend Recap

This past weekend the mail brought a package of fabric.
From left to right:

28 count Blue Jeans Gingham for SamSarah's "Sadie Stuart Summer Bee Sampler",  30 count Morris Blue fabric for Amy Bruecken's "Billy Bob Snowman", 30 count Red Pear for Heart in Hand "Curio Ladybug" and SamSarah's "The Flock – Blue Bird", and 30 count Guacamole for Heart in Hand's "Curio Blooms".

This weekend we had blue skies, and rainbows, and snowfall, and hail!
Friday's rainbow

This hawk took advantage of a spot of sun on Friday...

...to extend his wings...

...and dry them out while basking in the sunshine.

The quail were happy to see a spot of sun too.

And here's a true harbinger of Springtime - A Bluebird!

The last couple of years, we've had a Bluebird or two scout out housing locations.  But thus far nothing has met with their approval, and they've move on to nest elsewhere. (Darn it!)

Sunday morning gifted us with snow showers from 6:00am-10:00am.

The Song Sparrow was less than pleased with the weather change.

The quail were none-to-happy as well.

Brrr!

While the snow did not stick on the valley floor, it did decorate the Spencer;s Butte and Coburg Hills.

Good guesses on my "Mystery Bird", but nope, it is not a dove. I've not been able to take a close-up yet of the bird - when I do I'll be sure and mention that it was the Mystery Bird.

  4. Love your new linens! And, as usual, the bird photos are wonderful. I don't think I have ever seen a bluebird. It was so pretty. I also found the quail very interesting.
