I've stitched all nine of the snowmen's scarves. I think it looks rather pretty even without the snowmen.
The snow has long departed, and we are back to rainy, windy, typical-Oregon weather. I did enjoy our little snowfall - so a couple more photos...
Lorane Highway from our mailbox.
Padma watched the finches and sparrows take shelter under the eaves.
A hummingbird waited out the weather under the Front Porch.
Our Christmas garland looked festive with a light dusting of snow.
The Big Creek with snowy banks.
It looks so festive! We've barely had a hard frost this winter--it is almost like summer, in that while the daylight hours changed, the weather didn't change in temps to a big degree. I've been reading the weather reports for the NW & thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteYou are right. It looks great even without the snowmen.
ReplyDeleteYour winter pics are looking great. I always enjoy your pics. You are a really gifted photographer
We've gotten a few inches up here in the mountains but nothing's stuck for too long. Beautiful images of your surroundings. (pouting again) I want Christmas to stay all the time. LOL The fence and the snow covers garland....(le sigh) ;)
ReplyDeleteThe snowman scarves are pretty. I like the colors. Very nice complimenting cloth used too.
I like the scarves too!
ReplyDeleteYou have hummingbirds year around? Wow, lucky you! Ours left back in September or October.
We're getting a little snow here now, too. Yuck! Your pictures are very nice, but I HATE WINTER! :-)
The photo of the hummingbird is adorable. He would make is good cross stitch motif all fluffed up into a ball.
ReplyDeleteYou live is a beautiful part of the world.
The scarves are looking very cute! I love the picture of the highway - it looks to be a black and white photo, except you see the yellow sign - pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I love the photo of the road from you mailbox.
ReplyDeleteLove the scarves...can't wait to see the snowmen.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful day in the neighborhood...poor Mr. Hummer :o) he looks so cold, LOL!
I saw the picture and was trying to figure out what it was before I started reading! Nice and colorful scarves the snowmen will be wearing.
ReplyDeleteThe dusting of snow looks so festive, just a few weeks late.
I can't believe the hummingbird still around. Don't they fly to warmer climes in the winter? A good question to research in my soon-to-be new hobby, birdwatching! Going to start by joining in on the GBBC, thanks to your sidebar link! Hugs!
ReplyDeletewell it looks a lot more like christmas than it has done .... and brrr to the birdies don't envy them in this weather.... it does look cute with just the scarves on it tooo :) love mouse xxxx
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that hummingbird! I thought they all went south for the winter or something.
