If you've been following my "Free Bird" Saga, you'll know that I ended up "personalizing" this piece through error and intention. The alphabet is alternates navy and red letters, and the tails of the peacocks have been modified so that each is unique.
I'm always surprised when I look through photos of May and June, so see the changes that late August / early September brings to my gardening efforts.
For this Tuesday Garden Party, I thought I'd share some "before" and "after" shots.

I hope you've enjoyed the Garden Tour - I certainly have loved spending time with my plants this spring and summer.
Free Bird looks really good, it's nice to put your own personal touch to a design.
ReplyDeleteI love your finish! This is such a great piece and any "personalisations", deliberate or otherwise, just make it your own.
ReplyDelete186 - wow, that's a LOT of pots! Everything looks wonderful, you have a regular Botanical Garden there.
This is so cool--I love before and after stories! It is amazing how much the plants fill out and fill up all the spaces over the course of the summer, isn't it? It looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a beautiful finish! Love the before and after pics of you plants! That's a lot of pots...how long does it take to water them all?
ReplyDeleteLove your Freebird finish and all the extras that make it yours. 186pots??? I couldn't keep 6 watered this summer. Impressive!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I only have 2 begonias that I keep inside, though I love them a lot. They were a bit leggy so recently, I cut off the tall bits and put them in water. I'm hoping to have more begonias.
ReplyDeleteFreesias are one of my favorite hanging annuals! I love the bright colors.
Yes, you have a lot of pots, and they look wonderful!
WOW, what a beautiful display. I need to follow you, I don't have a lot of success with containers.
ReplyDeleteI love your front door pics too, so inviting.
Congratulations on the finish!! All of my finishes are heavily personalized... I figure it's my way of saying over and over again that only God is perfect. LOL Nice job!
ReplyDeleteLove the garden pics--the before and after sequence was really neat to see.
Such a great finish, Beth--"personalizing" a piece is what makes it special!
ReplyDeleteAmazing number of pots--I really admire you for keeping them watered and looking so nice! You must have a green thumb as well as a perfect gardening climate--everything looks so healthy :)
